A U.S. citizen has been detained at a railway station in Belarus after being found in an empty train carriage.

UPDATE: Three U.S. soldiers missing in Lithuania found dead, search for fourth ongoing
The 27-year-old was arrested by customs officers in the town of Molodechno, north of the capital Minsk, after traveling from the Lithuanian village of Kena on the border, Belarusian news agency BelTA reported on Monday.
The American was held by a customs alert group working with officers of the Molodechno District Department of Internal Affairs and the paramilitary guard of the Belarusian Railways.
The Belarusian authorities have not provided further details about the detention or the man’s identity.
The incident took place on the same day as three American soldiers who went missing in Lithuania were found dead.
There is currently an ongoing search for a fourth soldier.
The troops disappeared last Tuesday when their vehicle crashed into a deep swamp in the Pabradė military training area close to the border with Belarus.
