Polish striker Robert Lewandowski scored two goals for Barcelona on Sunday against local rivals Girona.
Both the Pole’s goals came in the second half and led to a 4–1 drubbing of the local Catalan challengers, putting Barcelon three points clear at the top of LaLiga.
After Barcelona went into the break a goal up, Girona’s Arnaut Danjuma equalized early in the second half.
With less than half an hour left on the clock, Lewandowski—who just three days earlier had become Barcelona’s highest ever goal-scorer—found the net with an acrobatic finish before going on to put away his 25th goal of the season and make it 3–1.
The deal was sealed by teammate Ferran Torres scoring Barca’s fourth to put Barcelona ahead of archrivals Real Madrid with Girona trailing in 13th place in Spain’s top league.
