Polish strongman icon Mariusz Pudzianowski has announced his comeback to cage fighting, revealing that he’ll take on the British titan Eddie Hall, another former World’s Strongest Man titleholder.

Their highly anticipated fight will take place on April 26 and promises to be a historic showdown between two giants known for their raw power and sheer size. In a bold move, organizers have decided to remove the heavyweight division’s standard 120 kg weight limit, allowing both fighters to step into the cage at full strength—no weight cuts, no compromises.

The fight will follow MMA rules and consist of two four-minute rounds.

For Hall, this marks his debut in mixed martial arts, while Pudzianowski brings a wealth of experience with 26 professional MMA fights under his belt, adding an extra layer of unpredictability to the bout. To build hype ahead of the event, Pudzianowski and Hall took part in a special photoshoot. A video shared by Pudzianowski on Facebook quickly going viral, racking up over 266,000 views by Saturday morning.
“A clash between two World’s Strongest Man champions in MMA seemed impossible, but nothing is impossible!” Pudzianowski wrote on social media.

Mariusz Pudzianowski dominated strongman, winning the World’s Strongest Man title five times (2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008), alongside six Europe’s Strongest Man and seven Poland’s Strongest Man titles, fueling his MMA career.

Eddie Hall, 11 years younger than Pudzianowski, won the World’s Strongest Man title once in 2017, propelled by his 500 kg deadlift record from 2016, and took home six UK’s Strongest Man titles, paving the way for his MMA debut.
