Polish snowboarder Aleksandra Król-Walas won bronze in the women’s parallel giant slalom at the World Championships in Engadin, Switzerland.
The 34-year-old Pole edged out her Swiss opponent Ladina Caveziel by 0.14 seconds to claim an impressive podium position.
Król-Walas had beaten Xinhui Bai and Julie Zogg on her way the semifinals, where she lost out to Tsubaki Miki from Japan - who won the World Cup this season - by just 0.01 seconds.
Król-Walas finished sixth in the World Cup’s overall standings, recording a career-high five podium places in the process. The 2024/25 season marked her return to the competition after giving birth.
