LOT Polish Airlines is set to become the leading European operator of flights to Toronto this summer, with the company offering 197 takeoffs between July and September.
The Polish carrier also ranks third in the number of transatlantic flights to the biggest Canadian city, including non-European operators, placing it only behind Air Canada and Air Transat.
At the moment, LOT offers up to three departures a day—or 15 departures a week—narrowly edging out other European competitors such as Air France, British Airways and KLM, which offer two flights per day.
This means that 4% of all Toronto’s transatlantic connections will be LOT flights during the profitable summer third quarter.
Flights between Warsaw and the Canadian city have become LOT’s largest market, overtaking New York and Chicago.
