US arms deliveries to Ukraine via Poland return to previous levels, says Polish FM

American weapons shipments to Ukraine via Poland have returned to previous levels, the Polish foreign minister has confirmed.

The resumption of supplies came after the U.S. announced it would lift a ban on American military aid to Kyiv as part of Tuesday’s ceasefire talks in Jeddah.

Radosław Sikorski said he could confirm that the airport near the southeastern Polish city of Rzeszów, a logistics hub located some 100 km from the Polish-Ukrainian border, has begun receiving its normal supply of weapons destined for Ukraine.

Earlier this month, Washington suspended the delivery of all American military aid to Kyiv after a heated public exchange between U.S. President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his Ukrainian counterpart, at the White House, plunging diplomatic ties between the two countries to an all-time low.

However, since Tuesday’s peace negotiations in Saudi Arabia’s second-largest city Jeddah—which resulted in Kyiv agreeing to a 30-day ceasefire proposal—the Trump administration reversed its policies and lifted the pause on military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who flew to Warsaw straight from Jeddah, said at a press conference with Sikorski: “Rzeszów is the largest logistics center from where [Ukraine] receives weapons,” so the U.S. decision is “important... for [the country’s] defense.”

He added that Sikorski is the first European official to be personally briefed on the results of Tuesday's talks.

“Ukraine is the country that most wants to end this war and conclude a just, permanent peace,” Sybiha added. “This is very important, and I want to once again thank the Polish side, the Polish people, for the support we have received and are receiving.”
