This is the a-boar-able moment a wild boar is seen trotting alongside a police car as officers escort it to a nearby forest.

Police were called to the small town of Kąty Wrocławskie after receiving reports of the animal roaming the streets.

Poland has recently seen a surge in wild boar encroaching upon villages, towns and even cities, posing a threat not only by potentially carrying dangerous diseases but also through aggressive behavior.

But when officers arrived in their patrol car, they found the boar behaved more like a domestic dog than a wild animal.

Nicknaming it ‘Franek,’ the officers then slowly coaxed the animal towards the town’s forest, calling to him in the same way as a pet dog. In video footage posted onto the force’s Facebook, Franek is seen trotting behind the patrol car as the policemen are heard saying: “Franek, come. Follow us!”

“Time to lose some weight!”

Keeping the mood light, they are then heard saying: “Franciszek! Jogging with the police!” and “You’re better than some people who just complain!”

The video has since gone viral, clocking up over 16k likes and over 1 million views, with delighted viewers flooding the post with comments.

One delighted viewer wrote: “The first trained police boar in Poland on duty.”

Another posted: “The boar knows what it's doing, it has bodyguards against hunters.”

Yet others heaped praise on the police officers, with one commenting: “Great guys! I wish there were more people like you,” and another saying simply: “Some cool gentlemen Policemen with empathy.”
