Police in northeastern Poland are investigating an object found in local woodland believed to be a weather balloon that blew in from the neighboring Russian enclave of Kaliningrad.
The balloon, discovered by forestry workers near the village of Prostki, bears markings in the Cyrillic alphabet.
Several similar discoveries have been made over the last year in the same area.
