A Pole has broken an American’s world record for the most pull-ups in a single day.

Wojciech Sobierajski managed 4,083 pull-ups in 24 hours to eclipse the previous record of 4,030 held by David Goggins, an American motivational speaker and retired U.S. Navy SEAL.

Sobierajski documented his record on his YouTube channel with a video entitled “ZMIAŻDŻYŁEM GOGGINSA” (I smashed Goggins).

“Today, in my attic, I managed to do 4,083 pull-ups in less than 14 hours. The condition of my arms did not allow for anything more,” Sobierajski said on Instagram.

It was the serial record-breaker's second attempt. He fell considerably short of the record at the first time of asking, with 1,150 pull-ups. But his video, published on New Year’s Day, showed him far surpassing that and taking the record with 53 more pull-ups than Goggins.

Sobierajski specializes in breaking extreme records. The Pole holds the record time for a marathon run in winter in just shorts and sandals (5 hours 17 minutes).

He holds the Polish record for the fastest barefoot marathon and the Polish record for hanging on a bar for the longest time (22 minutes, 45 seconds). He is also the world record holder for the fastest Olympic distance triathlon while carrying a 50 kg load (result: 6 hours, 34 minutes).
