“It’s about community”: Behind Poland’s biggest Christmas charity

Anna Libertowska, International PR Specialist for Poland’s Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) explained to TVP World that what lies at the heart of the foundation is “community.”

For thirty years, WOŚP has been raising money – sometimes as much as over €54 million a year – to help support Poland’s public healthcare system by buying medical equipment for lifesaving health conditions in pediatric and elderly care.

The public fundraiser is organized in all parts of the country by volunteers and is accompanied by various festive events such as concerts, sporting competitions, and firework displays.
