Poland’s Armaments Agency has purchased four microsatellites for a total of €130 million from a leading Polish space company.

The satellites, manufactured by Creotech, will be launched into orbit in 2026, boosting the Polish military’s reconnaissance and intelligence capabilities.

Shares in the privately owned Creotech rose more than 20% during Friday’s trading session in response to the news about the contract. They closed 15.6% higher.

This is a massive deal for the company whose revenue for the first three quarters of 2024 came in at just €3.6 million.

The Armaments Agency will finance the purchase with funds from the European Union under the National Recovery Plan (KPO).

"All this proves that there are no areas that are inaccessible to us," said Poland’s minister of defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the signing ceremony.
