The Civic Coalition (KO), the backbone party in the coalition government in Poland, has maintained a narrow lead over its rival, the Law and Justice (PiS), a poll results show.

The survey, published on Saturday, showed KO securing 33.2% of the vote, edging out PiS at 32.3%. Both parties saw gains compared to the previous poll conducted on November 22-24, with KO rising by 0.7% and PiS gaining 2.4%.

Far-right Confederation ranked third with 10.3%, followed by KO’s junior coalition partner, the centre-right Third Way, with 9.9%, and the Left with 8%. Meanwhile, 6% of respondents remained undecided.

The poll was conducted between December 6 and 8 on a representative sample of 1,000 people by United Survey for Wirtualna Polska.
