Russia has set a new record for the number of drones flown into Ukraine by launching 188 of them on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 76 of the aircraft, though many hit critical infrastructure targets, the Ukrainian air force said.

Ukraine’s national news agency, Ukrinform, added that 95 had disappeared from radar, “likely due to active electronic warfare measures by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.”

Another five drones were reported to have flown toward Belarus.

“The occupiers attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Voronezh and Kursk oblasts on the night of 25–26 November,” online newspaper Ukrainska Pravda quoted the Ukrainian Air Force as saying.

“The enemy launched a record number of Shahed drones and UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] of unspecified type from Russia’s Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk during the nighttime attack.

"Unfortunately, hits to critical infrastructure facilities were recorded,” the statement continued.

“Houses and high-rise residential buildings were also damaged in several oblasts due to the large-scale drone attack. Early reports indicate that there were no casualties.”
