In response to the recent heat wave in Warsaw, the Public Transport Authority has rolled out a new initiative to help residents find relief from the sweltering temperatures.
Dubbed a “green map” of the city, the online map highlights 51 bus stops close to forests, parks, and nature reserves where people can take shelter from the blistering sun.
With temperatures soaring above 30°C, many residents have looked for refuge in the shade and called for more green spaces within the city.
The initiative has now been met with open arms, with local communities praising the move for its practicality and accessibility.
