The star of the Polish women’s under-17 team, Weronika Araśniewicz, has joined Spanish club Barcelona Femení.
The 16-year-old becomes the third Polish player to join the Catalan giant's women’s team.
Emilia Szymczak and the recently arrived Ewa Pajor are already part of the Barcelona senior squad. Meanwhile, the men’s team includes Poland’s all-time top scorer, Robert Lewandowski.
Araśniewicz arrives from Diamenty Warszawa (Warsaw Diamonds) and was officially confirmed by the club last week.
Araśniewicz is an extremely talented player who played a major part in helping the Polish U-17 team to third place at the European Championships. Initially, she will play for Barcelona Femení C prior to challenging for a first-team place.
