Roaring diesel engines spewing black smoke high in the sky, and the eye-catching sight of an old quarry transformed into a challenging off-road obstacle course, drew big crowds to Poland’s first ever truck rally.
Truck manufacturer STAR, whose name comes from the central Polish town of Starachowice, has a long history of manufacturing sturdy trucks admired by many and their fandom is only set to grow in popularity.
The first edition of the STAR Rally Poland rally took place in an old quarry located in Boguszów-Gorce in southwest Poland, with sixty crews standing at the starting line.
For those who wanted to test their strength, and that of their trucks’, organizers prepared hills, slippery slopes, ditches filled with water and mud, slaloms, and numerous other obstacles, leaving heavy-duty truck fans totally satisfied.
For the spectators, apart from the gastronomy section, the organizers prepared various concerts and attractions, such as a ride in an old Soviet T54 tank rolling over cars and helicopter flights.
If those were not enough, kids could also enjoy carousels and an onsite funfair.
This was the first rally for STAR fans, but as the organizers have promised, it will not be the last. If you are a truck fan, keep an eye out for another announcement.
