At least six people were killed and 13 injured in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, following further shelling of civilian infrastructure on Friday.
Regional governor Vadym Filashkin shared photos from the targeted sites showing a bus with shattered windows and devastated building facades. Another showed a burnt-out car lying on its side.
Four people were killed and 10 were injured in Myrnohrad, a town approximately 70 km (40 miles) northwest of the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk, when a Russian missile landed near an administrative building and a bus stop.
In a separate attack, two civilians were killed and three injured in the town of Kostiantynivka.

Partially occupied by Russia, the Donetsk region has frequently come under Russian shelling and air strikes. Although thousands have lost their lives since the full-scale invasion, Moscow has repeatedly denied targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure. This is what a bad morning for almost every Ukrainian might look like now. Just yesterday this family, familiar to us, in Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, had a house and everything they needed in the house.
