At least 4,500 people marched through the streets of Brussels today to protest against the far-right ideologies that have recently gained momentum all across Europe.
The march was initiated by the Belgian Anti-Fascist Coordination, which unites some 20 social movements and organizations fighting against far-right ideologies.
The mobilization aimed to show the dissatisfaction of Belgians with the results of the recent European Parliament Elections, which saw great gains for many far-right political parties across Europe.
The number of protesters reported by the Brussels police shows the importance of the cause for the Belgian people.
