Poland’s Anita Włodarczyk captured a silver medal in the hammer throw at the European Athletics Championships in Rome.
Sara Fantini, an Italian athlete, claimed the gold medal. The French athlete, Rose Loga, won the bronze medal. In the same event, Malwina Kopron secured seventh place, and Katarzyna Furmanek finished in 11th place.
Fantini triumphed with a result of 74.18m. Włodarczyk’s best attempt was a throw of 72.92m, while Loga achieved a distance of 72.69m. Kopron and Furmanek achieved distances of 69.72m and 67.11m respectively.
Włodarczyk has won her sixth European Championship medal. Her collection includes four golds, one silver, and one bronze.
