German police announced that a “34-year-old man of Turkish nationality is on the run,” after shots were fired at two locations in the city of Hagen in western Germany, wounding four people.

According to the police, a man fired several shots in Hagen’s Eilpe district, and then “got into his Mercedes and drove to a hair salon two kilometers away, where more shots were fired” Bild wrote.

“As things stand at present, the background to the crime could lie in the family environment. One person is currently on the run. We are searching for the perpetrator at full speed,” Hagen Police said in a post on X.

“According to the current state of the investigation, a 34-year-old man of Turkish nationality is on the run. The police are searching intensively for the perpetrator. He had previously injured several people with a firearm. One of the victims is his wife,” Hagen Police added. According to Bild, the perpetrator escaped while carrying a weapon.
