Seven victories, a perfect 21 points, and a set ratio of 21-1—these are the statistics for the Polish women's volleyball team in this year’s Nations League.
Stefano Lavarini’s team, at the conclusion of the second tournament in Arlington, will face the Americans.
The white-and-red team marked a historic opening in the Nations League. Last year, after six consecutive wins, they suffered a defeat to the Netherlands (0:3) in the seventh match. This time, the seventh encounter proved fortunate—on Friday evening, the Polish team faced resistance from the Germans, but they made good decisions in decisive moments of sets and won 3:0. Lavarini’s players can now slowly prepare for the final tournament.

In their last match in Arlington on Saturday (start time, 11:30 PM), the white-and-red team will play against the United States. The tournament hosts convincingly defeated Bulgaria 3:0 in their previous match.
Only the second victory was achieved by the world champions, the Serbs, who defeated Canada, performing excellently in this year’s edition of the League of Nations, 3:1.
The top seven teams after the preliminary round plus the host—Thailand—will participate in the final tournament, which will take place from June 20-23 in Bangkok.
After the clash with the U.S. team, Poland will play their remaining seven games in Fukuoka, Japan, and Hong Kong.
