An aggressive attack on the Polish border by a group of individuals, purportedly migrants situated on the Belarusian side, left two border guards injured and taken to the hospital.
Michał Bura from the press team of the Polish Border Guard said on Friday that a group of foreigners, who were allegedly migrants on the Belarusian side, attacked Polish soldiers protecting the border on Wednesday. They were released from the hospital that day after having undergone surgery.
“Aggressive foreigners, located behind a technical barrier, attacked Polish services several times,” said Bura. “As a result of the aggressive behavior, two soldiers were injured and taken to the hospital.”
Detailing the volatile situation, he emphasized that the aggressors wielded dangerous objects and tools, which they hurled towards the soldiers during the altercation.
This incident follows reports from Tuesday alleging that a migrant had stabbed a Polish border guard, though specifics regarding the identity of the assailant and the circumstances of the attack remain undisclosed in Polish media.
