Iga Świątek has consolidated her place as World No. 1 following her triumph at the Italian Open, while Hubert Hurkacz climbed from ninth to eighth in the ATP’s global rankings.

Świątek now sits 3,557 points ahead of second-placed Aryna Sabalenka and over 4,000 points in front of third-ranked Cori Gauff. The 22-year-old Pole also extended her lead in the WTA Race Rankings, topping the table with 5,335 points. Sabalenka sits in second (3,928 points), and Jelena Rybakina (3,583) in third.

Świątek beat Sabalenka comfortably in Saturday’s final in Rome, easing to a 6:2, 6:3 win.

Falling in the Quarter Final to America’s Tommy Paul, Hubert Hurkacz’s run in Rome was enough to lift him from ninth to eighth in the world rankings.

Novak Djokovic remains at the top of the men’s leaderboard and starts his 426th week as World No. 1 - beating his own record in the process.

Italian Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz sit in second and third, respectively, while Alexander Zverev - the winner of Sunday’s final in Rome - moves to fourth. Daniil Medvedev, Andrei Rublev, and Casper Rudd remain ahead of Hurkacz in the pecking order.

In the ATP Race to Turin rankings, Hurkacz stays in eleventh but cuts the gap between tenth-placed Taylor Fritz to just twenty points.
