Ryanair, a budget Irish airline, has opened a second Aircraft Maintenance Service (WAMS) hangar in Poland’s southwestern city of Wrocław.

The new investment, worth €25 million, will allow WAMS to service four aircraft at the same time, employing around 300 people.

Eddie Wilson, Ryanair CEO, was quoted in a statement as saying that the opening of the WAMS second hangar is proof of the airline’s permanent commitment to the Wrocław region.

Wilson added that the investment would increase the airline’s maintenance capability and was proof of its role in supporting both economic growth and the creation of new jobs.

In 2017, WAMS established itself to provide services to the Ryanair fleet. Following the opening of its second hangar, the two facilities will employ 550 people.

Ryanair currently operates 43 routes from Wrocław.
