“If you look from the freight movement perspective, before February 24, 2022, all the freight logistics were prioritizing east-to-west movement, and now we are prioritizing south-to-north connections,” head of the Latvian branch of Rail Baltica Eriks Dilevs told TVP World’s Sascha Fahrbach in an interview about the pan-European Rail Baltica project.
Dilevs is an experienced professional in the transport sector, with a career spanning over 18 years. He has held various roles at Rail Baltica since 2018, including head of the Roads and Engineering Communications Department and Technical Director in Latvia. Since early 2023, he has led Rail Baltica’s Latvian branch, focusing on team leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. He also has a background in managing international projects in the U.K., UAE, and Latvia.
