According to a report from a Ukrainian agent of the partisan “Atesh” movement, Cuban mercenaries fighting on the Pokrovsky front as part of the Russian 428th Motorized Rifle Regiment have eliminated their commander.
The motive behind this action allegedly stemmed from continuous mistreatment, beatings, and withholding of wages. The perpetrators responsible for the elimination of the commander have already been relocated to the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, as mentioned in the report.
It was also noted that the regiment’s command has appealed to the General Staff to replace foreign mercenaries with Russian soldiers.
“We can conclude that such situations arise from time to time, but they do not become public. The Russian leadership does not value even the lives of its own citizens, let alone foreigners. Think twice before daring to engage in such activities,” the partisan group emphasized.
The disclosure by Ukrainian partisans sheds light on the complex dynamics within the conflict in Ukraine, revealing challenges faced by the Russian Federation in managing and maintaining loyalty among its foreign mercenaries.
This development underscores the intricacies of warfare in the modern era, where allegiances and motivations can shift unpredictably, adding another layer of complexity to an already volatile situation.
