‘Morale of Ukrainian troops high’: military official for TVP World

In the wake of the $60 billion U.S. military aid that Ukraine is set to receive after lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives passed a foreign aid bill, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, an American journalist turned Ukraine Army Sergeant, confirms that the morale of the Ukrainian troops is high.

“The troops that I have spoken with… the morale is much higher than what’s being reported by the legacy media,” Ashton-Cirillo told TVP World.

Meanwhile, the recent loss of the city of Avdiivka to Russia marked the end of a long, exhausting defense for the Ukrainian military. However, Ashton-Cirillo quoted a Ukrainian soldier saying “Hope will never die, nor will our will to liberate all of Donbas [and other invaded regions].”

Regarding the aid, Ashton-Cirillo added: “We’re seeing a tremendous change in the moral and psychological outlook of the armed forces of Ukraine along the frontline … now we understand that we have gotten backup from our partners that was long promised to us.”
