The head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kuleba, commenting on Saturday’s decision of the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress regarding the aid package for Kyiv, said that it was a “bad day for Putin,” reports “Ukrainska Pravda.”
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called April 20 a “bad day for Putin” due to the approval of a new financial aid package for Kyiv by the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress.
“This is a bad day for Putin. A bad day for anyone who dared to believe that America could waver… We are grateful to the U.S. House of Representatives, its Speaker and members of both parties, for passing the long-awaited Ukraine aid bill,” Kuleba wrote on social media platform X.
“Everyone who made this decision a reality made the right choice. The United States has reaffirmed its global leadership,” he added.
On Saturday, the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress passed a new financial aid package for Ukraine by a vote of 311 to 112. The House also passed a bill on the takeover of Russian assets frozen in American banks to Ukraine. Their value is estimated at $5-8 bln. This act was greatly applauded by Central and Eastern European Nations, who believe that Russian imperialist ambitions in the region could get a huge boost should Kyiv be allowed to fall.

Dmytro Kuleba emphasized that Ukraine expects Saturday’s bill to be quickly approved by the U.S. Senate and signed by President Joe Biden. He added that the granting of financial aid in the amount of $60.8 billion will have a positive impact on the morale of Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the front line.A bad day for Putin. A bad day for anyone who dared to believe that America could waver when it comes to defending what and who it stands for.
