The Russian Embassy building in Vilnius was attacked with Molotov cocktails twice on Sunday night. Although no one was hurt, a wall of the building sustained damage. The prosecutor’s office in the Lithuanian capital is currently investigating the case.

The Lithuanian law enforcement officers noted the incident, but they have not yet identified the perpetrators.

Damage assessments are underway, Ramūnas Matonis, a police spokesperson, told public broadcaster LRT on Monday.

Yulia Samorokovskaya, a representative of the Vilnius District Main Police Station, told ELTA news agency that the possibility of beefing up security at the Russian embassy in Vilnius is under consideration.

Lithuania is one of Ukraine’s most loyal allies, repelling Russia’s invasion for more than two years.
