Relegation threatened Puszcza Niepołomice took on mid-table Radomiak on Easter Monday in the Polish Ekstraklasa. With less than half an hour to play Puszcza were on course for an important three points. That was until Radomiak goalkeeper Gabriel Kobylak played a cruel April Fool’s Day prank on his opposite number by scoring a remarkable equalizer from around 80 meters (88 yards) out.

In the 66th minute Kobylak launched a huge long hopeful ball forward from just outside his own penalty area , which bounced just inside the Puszcza penalty area.

Puszcza's goalkeeper, the former Aston Villa apprentice, Oliver Zych, completely misjudged the bounce and flight of the ball, and despite furious backpedaling could only claw the ball out after it had already crossed the line.

Puszcza Niepołomice came into the game with Radomiak in the relegation zone and desperate for the three points, sitting level on points with fifteenth-placed Korona Kielce. Puszcza grabbed an early lead through Roman Jakuba, who gave Kobylak no chance.

The Niepolomice controlled the match after the opener, while the Radomians struggled to break down their opponents. Only an Easter miracle from their angel, Gabriel Kobylak coud rescue a point for them.

Jagiellonia remain at the summit of Ekstraklasa, with a four point lead over Śląsk Wrocław, two points further back Raków Częstochowa are in the final European spot in third place.
