Hostage deal closer than ever: deputy mayor of Jerusalem

To discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza, as well as the recent visit of the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his meetings with top Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, TVP World invited Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem Fleur Hassan-Nahoum.

“We are closer than we have been in the last few weeks to a hostage deal, and I’m praying for the parents and the family members of those hostages that this will happen,” the deputy mayor said.

She noted that there were still 134 hostages in Gaza, and, although some of them are already dead, many more are still alive.

Hassan-Nahoum emphasized that the Israeli military is doing everything it can to help civilians in Gaza, however, most of the aid is being “stolen by Hamas”.
