Photojournalist Maksymilian Rigamonti worked alongside Polish and other NATO troops during their mission in Afghanistan, when the Article 5 of the NATO treaty was invoked following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. Rigamonti accompanied Polish soldiers 24-hours a day and soon realized that he was not just a mere observer of the conflict.
