Poland’s industrial output rose by 1.6 percent year on year in January, against the Polish Press Agency’s (PAP) consensus for a 3.1% increase, the country’s statistics office GUS reported on Tuesday.
Month on month, industrial output increased by 2.3%.
Economists polled by PAP expected January’s industrial production to rise by 3.1% year on year and by 3.9% month on month.
Manufacturing prices fell by 9.0% year on year in January and by 0.2% month on month, GUS reported.
Economists surveyed by PAP expected January’s producer prices to drop by 8.3% year on year and by 0.1% month on month.
Economists polled by PAP expected January’s industrial production to rise by 3.1% year on year and by 3.9% month on month.
