In 2023, Polish entrepreneurs sold agricultural and food products abroad worth a record-breaking EUR 51.8 bn, which is 8.1 percent higher than the previous year, announced Henryk Smolarz, the Director General of the National Center for Agricultural Support. The highest revenues were generated from the export of meat and meat products.

“This is another good year for the export of Polish food. This result is influenced by many factors, including the fact that Polish products are still competitively priced and of good quality,” he assessed.

“Compared to 2022, the positive impact of factors such as the costs of import supplies, transport, energy, and fuel decreased, contributing to the growth in Polish exports of agricultural and food products last year,” he added.

The main trading partner of Poland in 2023 remained the countries of the European Union, to which over 73% of the export of food products went. The largest recipient of Polish food was Germany, where products worth EUR 13.3 bn were delivered.

Outside the EU, agricultural and food products worth EUR 13.8 bn were exported from Poland. Among non-EU countries, the largest recipients of Polish food were the United Kingdom, Ukraine, and the United States.
