Women’s Tennis Association announced on Monday that ranking leader Iga Świątek has been named WTA player of the year for the second consecutive year. Tomasz Wiktorowski the coach of the Polish super-athlete was named trainer of the year.
The results of the WTA poll do not come as a surprise, just a confirmation of the excellent form of the 22-year-old tennis player from Raszyn, who gave up the WTA ranking lead for eight weeks to Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.
