As our guest explained, Sudan has been an independent country for 67 years now, however, during this period, civilian rule lasted for approximately 12 years.
Omer pointed out that the country’s societal diversity, as it is multiethnic, multireligious, and multicultural, is the main reason for the emergence of conflicts and civil wars within.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that it is the first time that the war has reached the country’s capital, Khartoum.
