The heaviest fighting on the Ukrainian frontline is taking place along the Siversk-Bahmut line, where the invaders are desperately trying to make progress on the battlefield. Moscow’s marginal gains come at the cost of very heavy casualties. The Russians are advancing a maximum of several hundred meters per week, totalling a monthly average of 1 to 2 kilometres. The losses incurred in the process will eventually significantly degrade the combat effectiveness of Russian troops and make further advances impossible. Let’s take a look at our report. To shed more light on the issue, TVP World invited James Sherr OBE, Senior Fellow of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute at the ICDS, to be the guest of the programme.
