“Save Ukraine – Stop War” charity concert

A charity concert and telethon “Save Ukraine – Stop War” began simultaneously in Berlin in Kyiv, with the line-up consisting of Ukrainian and international artists, including the Eurovision 2022 winners, Kalush Orchestra.

The concert began at 8 p.m CEST and lasted for over two hours. It was held in front of the iconic Brandenburger Gate in Berlin. In addition to performances of artists, words of support from politicians and celebrities from around the world were also broadcast. These included the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, who was present at a concert organised simultaneously in Warsaw.

This is the second telethon organised for the benefit of Ukraine. The goal is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment for healthcare institutions that provide medical assistance to the wounded and injured, in particular surgical C-arm X-ray machines.

The first telethon took place on March 27 and more than EUR 1.2 million was raised through joint efforts to solve the most acute humanitarian issues caused by the war. It was rebroadcast by 30 TV stations worldwide and watched by around 80 million people.
