World News 11.05: Azovstal under siege, USD 40 bln US aid to Ukraine

The situation in the besieged city of Mariupol is worsening, as the Russian troops continue intense attacks on the Azovstal steel plant, where Ukrainian fighters refuse to lay down their arms. The wounded Ukrainian soldiers trapped in the bunkers cannot receive medical treatment. Meanwhile, the US has prepared a USD 40 billion aid package for Ukraine – the bill is now headed to Congress.
