The Kyiv Symphony Orchestra has gone on a European tour. The inauguration of “The voice of Ukraine” tour took place on Thursday at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. The concert was broadcasted by Polish Radio.
Throughout the European tour, which will cover Ukrainian Musicians presenting the works of Ukrainian orchestral music, dating back to the 1770s. The ensemble, led by Luigi Gagger, will perform works by Maxim Berezovsky, Myroslav Skoryk and Borys Lyatoshynsky.
Polish violinist Janusz Wawrowski participated as a soloist in the concert performing the work of Polish composer, Henryk Wieniawski's “Fantasia Brillante”. This has been the first concert of the Kyiv Symphonic Orchestra since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. On April 23, the Orchestra will play in Łódź, then continue their tour in Western Europe.
