Scientists from Wrocław, Southwest Poland, have introduced Pay-eye onto the market, a new cashless payment system.
It is done by eye. How? The iris is scanned with the use of a special terminal and the account is debited accordingly.
Now over 60 businesses have joined the pilot programme and the system is already gaining in popularity.
With half of payments in Poland already concluded cashlessly, consumers are increasingly swayed by contactless payment methods.
In Lower Silesia province, one can pay at 61 outlets using Pay-eye. And yet, it is just the beginning as the team has global expansion in its sights as well as creating a brand abroad.
Will their product succeed? Let us keep an eye out.
