President Duda stressed that the campaign promoting conscious purchases and Polish products has already been going on for some time.

“It will now be strengthened. We call on everyone to check the country of production on products when doing their shopping and try to pick those that are produced in Poland,” the President said.

“If we buy food, let’s buy Polish products, because it supports the development of our economy, the struggle against the crisis and our entrepreneurs,” he added.

Minister Ardanowski said that he took part in a video-conference with Polish food producers.

“Just like Polish farmers, the food producers feel responsible for feeding Poles. They ask Polish consumers, the Polish society, to be united with the farmers,” Mr Ardanowski said.

He added that the campaign #KupujŚwiadomie (#BuyConsiously) #ProduktPolski (#PolishProduct) can convince the customers that buying Polish food is not only “making a rational move to choose good, tasty food, but also supporting Polish agriculture.”

The pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus has caused problems for Polish food producers. Polish lamb which was appreciated by Italian people and served in Italy for Easter, will not be sent there because of the virus.

The producers asked the government to conduct the intervention buying and promotional campaign of traditional lamb in Poland.
