Polish Environment Minister Michał Woś was diagnosed with coronavirus, he informed the public on his official Twitter profile on Monday.
“After an employee of the State Forests with whom I had contact was diagnosed with coronavirus, I was quarantined and took the test. Its result was positive. I’m feeling fine. I thank the health care workers and express my solidarity with all the infected”, the minister wrote.
"The examination confirmed that Minister Michał Woś suffers from coronavirus. The procedures of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate have been launched. Individuals who had contact with the minister were subjected to appropriate procedures," wrote the government’s spokesman Piotr Müller.
On Monday evening the Health Ministry reported that the total count of coronavirus cases in Poland had reached 156.
