Success for Polish movie "Corpus Christi" at the film festival "November" in Minsk

The movie "Corpus Christi" by Jan Komasa won the awards of the audience and the best director and a special jury award. Director Krzysztof Zanussi, who was the chairman of the jury, told Polish Radio that Polish films presented themselves well at the "November" festival.

"Jan Komasa's film was very well received, and documentary films were also very important. So we have to be very happy about the fact that in a neighbouring country, in difficult circumstances, Polish films make themselves felt," said director Krzysztof Zanussi.

Krzysztof Zanussi himself received the special prize of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko "for preserving and developing traditional values in film art".

Polish Ambassador Artur Michalski admitted that he was among the viewers of the movie "Corpus Christi". The Ambassador said that in one cinema in Minsk, the room was filled to the last seat.

"November", the largest film festival in Belarus, was organised for the twenty-sixth time.
